Great Britain Preparing for Masters International Against Australia

AFL England is excited to support a special Australian Football Masters International between Great Britain and Australia next month, and we are on the lookout for players to take part.

Three years ago, England played the very first International AFL Masters match, losing narrowly 52-54 at King’s Meadow in Reading.

This year, it will be Great Britain taking on Australia on 13th July at the home of the Wimbledon Hawks, Motspur Park.

Organisers are looking for GB-qualified Masters players to sign up to the event and to let them know that you are available.

On the 13th of July 2019, Great Britain will play Australia in the second AFL match to be held in the UK. We are looking for GB qualified Masters players to sign up to the event and let us know that you are available.

Eligibility criteria are still open for discussion, but players are encouraged to get in touch if they:

  • Aged 35+
  • Played in the last match
  • Are British by birth or citizenship
  • Played predominantly in Great Britain
