About
The Great Britain national Australian rules football team is known as the Great Britain Bulldogs.
The team is made up of some of the best British-born players from the clubs of England, Wales and Scotland, as well as others playing their footy overseas.
The Bulldogs made their debut in October 1993 against Canada. Since then they have gone on to compete against some of the best sides in the world. They have appeared in six International Cups since 2002. In 2017 they finished a joint-highest sixth.
They have competed at all four European Championships, and are defending champions having won the tournament in London in 2016 and then repeated their triumph in 2019.
The Bulldogs are currently coached by Dean Thomas and the team is managed by Phil Martin.
